The idea for this die came from a session that went off the rails. The party found this old, overgrown ruin with a locked stone basin. Of course they dumped potions into it until something happened. There was a flash – then the tendrils – then the headaches. Hundreds of tendrils just drifting out quietly, quickly. No sound. No initiative. Just pure psychic dread.

Half the party dropped instantly just laying prone, twitching. The cleric started praying. The fighter rolled under a cart. Everyone was panicking.

The bard pulls out a scroll and starts reading from it loudly, proudly, and totally fake. She made it up on the spot. Claimed it was a legally binding Cease and Desist from the Interplanetary Department of Bloom Regulation. Said the creature was in violation of some “Zone 3 Mindspace Licensing Laws” and threatened it with extradimensional litigation. She miraculously rolled a nat 20 deception. The thing… paused. Tilted sideways. Then just tore itself out of reality like it didn’t want to deal with the paperwork.

Thus this epic, eldritch dice idea was formed!
