The old mine had been abandoned for years, but the villagers still swore they heard tapping from below the hill after dark. Not pickaxes. Not boots. Something lighter. Faster. Like dozens of tiny legs clicking across stone.

When the party finally broke through the collapsed shaft, they found the answer almost immediately.
